TOP QUESTIONS WE HEAR FROM PATIENTS
Will it hurt?
We use a number of techniques to ensure your little boy is comfortable during his procedure. This includes paracetamol liquid, sucrose syrup as well as a local anaesthetic block before the procedure. Most boys will not experience discomfort during the circumcision.

Is the procedure safe?
As with all procedures there are some risks. The technique used by Dr Moz has lower rates of serious complications than other techniques. Though as detailed in your consultation there is always a risk of bleeding, infection, bruising, the ring slipping and reaction to medications used.
More detail around the risks is discussed here and I strongly recommend reading the article or listening to the video

How long does it take?
The procedure itself is very quick taking around 10-15 minutes however you will need to be at the clinic for around 1-2 hours. This allows time for preparation and a monitoring period after the procedure.
When will the ring fall off?
The ring typically falls off after around 5-7 days though can take up to 10 days to fall off.
Plenty of detailed information around the aftercare and what to expect after the procedure can be found here

Are all boys suitable?
During the pre-procedure consultation Dr Moz will assess your boy to discuss suitability for the procedure. Some genital as well as medical conditions may delay the procedure or in fact mean your boy cannot be done in the clinic. The most important concern is ensuring a safe circumcision can be performed.
